Introduction to Junior Spanish racing

Well what a race the Junior tour of the Basque country was, super hilly and hot!

Four hard days where I worked as much as I could for the boys, leading out intermediate sprints and trying to place some of them at the bottom of the climbs, and man can these boys climb hills!

Also having to deal with punctures, chasing back on and various crashes it was certainly eventful, but I really enjoyed it, that aside we came away with a sprint jersey, 1 rider in top 10 in GC, and 7th team in GC from 33 teams.

The team have been great, and have been very welcoming and a great bunch of lads. I'm looking forward to our next race already.
